Book review #5 : The Aware the Isles of Glory, Book I by Glenda Larke :

It’s been a long time since the last book review on the blog ! I read quite a lot but only french books unavailable in english !

This book is definitely a fantasy book which is not my style at all ! The story behind me reading this book is quite funny, I found it in a park with a sticker saying take me ! I ended up absolutely loving this book and I couldn’t stop reading I needed to know what would happen.

This book is part of a trilogy and I think I will buy the two other books.

The story takes place in a world where people are divided in two categories the citizen and the citizen-less people. The main character Blaze is citizen-less and she is working for citizen on different missions to get her citizenship.

Her mission is to find a castle-maid, to fill this goal she is going to a dangerous island where most of the citizen-less people are living with the criminals.

Blaze is « Aware » which means she can see the magic used by people, in blue if it’s « nice » magic and red if the magic is dangerous.

This book is all about friendship, love and adventure  it’s a great book to discover fantasy if like me you were 100% a novel kind of girl !

I have created a Goodreads account to be able to share more books, let’s become friends over-there :

I think the next book I will be presenting is The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton because I am joining the bookclub organized by Jess from the Youtube channel Sunbeamsjess. I really enjoy her book reviews so I decided to jump on the bandwagon and read this book ! Let me know if you are doing it too !

Follow my blog with Bloglovin and on  Instagram ! You can also follow me over WordPress 😉

I would love to read your books recommendations, feel free to leave them in the comments !

I used to be a huge fantasy person and never read much contemporary but like lately I cannot muster the will to read fantasy. The book definitely seems like a good one to check out though! I am glad you enjoyed it 🙂

I love fantasy books, I think this is a genre of books that is the most full of pure imagination and does not limit writers. Like in criminals if you write something not realistic readers would not like it and with fantasy books it’s the complete opposite – the more unrealistic story the better it is. Thanks for sharing, I’ll make sure I take a closer look at this trilogy.
